This one was in Bearsden. Timber dividers running the length of the garden, plus a new timber gate to finish it off. The boards are 19x150, fixed to 100x100 posts, and every rail is screwed on with Timco 6.7mm x 100mm timber frame screws. Properly fixed, not nailed up to work loose in a couple of winters.
Running the full length of the long divider was an old white wire. Out of use, but sitting right in our way. We worked round it carefully and kept the line straight without disturbing anything that didn’t need disturbing.
The old gate posts were installed in a sub-par manner. Someone had bolted them onto a 100mm concrete bed with a 200mm masonry bolt driven straight into soft ground, then poured another 50mm of concrete over the top to hide it. We had one broken out inside 60 seconds. That’s not a foundation. That’s a gate waiting to drop.
So we did it the way it should be done. Two fresh holes dug 700mm deep, new 100mm posts set in 40kg of Postcrete, packed and levelled, and left to go off before anything got hung off them.
The digging was the hard bit. Every single hole had a brick or two buried in it to fight through, which slowed things right down, but we still had it done in two days. The fence and gate are straight and solid, and the garden was left clean before we packed up.

We turn up when we say we will and keep you posted. You'll always know what's happening and when.
You get a fixed written price before we start, and it doesn't budge once it's agreed.
We don't pack up until it's done right, the old fence is gone, and your garden's left clean and tidy.
Five-star on Facebook and MyJobQuote too, and 10/10 on Checkatrade.
“Just had a great fencing job completed by the Alba Boundaries team and delighted with the end result, in spite of the rubbish weather. Conner the owner was professional and responsive from first contact right through to the finished fence, which was exactly what I wanted. I couldn’t give Alba Boundaries a stronger recommendation for anyone needing a new fence, hence the 5-star rating.”
“Conner listened to what I was looking for and executed it perfectly. He showed up when he said he would, built a strong, great-looking fence that was affordable without all the nonsense I’ve had dealing with some other tradesmen. Would absolutely use again and recommend. Thank you!”
“Conner and the team recently replaced fences on my property. Turned up when they said they would, did an excellent and thorough job, left the place tidy. Can’t ask for more.”
“Conner did an absolutely amazing job. I’m so pleased with my fence and have made arrangements for him to come back and build a deck.”
